Crab Cake Burgers

Today in my meal prep, I chose delicious burgers – made of pasteurized crabmeat. It is easy to prepare and full of flavor. I serve it with french fries or any favorite green salad.

Ingredients:

1-pound crabmeat

1 tablespoon mayonnaise

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 egg, lightly beaten

½ cup bread crumbs

½ cup spring onions, finely chopped

½ cup cilantro, finely chopped

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon black pepper, crushed

5 lettuce leaves

2 tomatoes, large size, slices

6 burger buns

3 tablespoons cooking oil

Salt as needed

Method:

In a large bowl, mix together egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, bread crumbs, spring onions, cilantro, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Combine the mixture with crab meat, then mix well until it all comes together.

Shape the crab meat mixture into patties. Now heat a skillet with oil on low-medium heat. Sauté the crab cake patties for 2-3 minutes until golden brown on each side. Place the lettuce, tomato, and crab meat patties in between the slices of the burger bun. Serve with french fries.
