Pancakes

Kids always want to be treated special, particularly during summer break. It’s time for them to be relaxed and enjoy a break from routine. For my kids, I prepared a pancake with a simple batter of eggs, flour, milk, and baking powder.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
  • 1 ½ cup whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter (2 tablespoons for making the batter and 1 tablespoon for preparing pancake)

Method:

In a large mixing bowl, add all-purpose flour, sugar, and baking powder, and mix well.

In a separate bowl, beat together eggs, milk, and butter. Then transfer the mixture into the dry ingredients. Mix well to avoid lumps in the mixture.

Tip: Add more milk if the batter is too thick.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat, then add butter. When the butter is shimmering, pour the batter to make the pancake. Adjust the heat while making the batches of pancakes. Flip one side of pancake when the bubbles start appearing and the bottom side is brown takes about 2 to 3 minutes). Repeat the same steps with remaining pancakes. Serve with your favorite fruits and jam.
